Mitsunori Asakura-Zoology

A portfolio containing 8 prints in an edition of 30.

Since returning to Tokyo from a journey of some years I realized that many things had changed as is expected with time. However, as a result of the Japanese economy collapse in the 90's, the value of land had dropped. It caused places like parks, gardens and playgrounds to disappear. Most of the land was taken by banks and companies and often rebuilt into coin car parks and apartments. There used to be animal statues at those places, icons for our childhood, each one a different character, however as those places have disappeared so have statues.
